This position reports directly to the Sustainability Unit Program Manager and exists to function primarily as the staff authority on the management and coordination of the Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) program and related policy development for the department. The position serves as the lead technical and SEP compliance sector expert for the department’s environmental division’s enforcement programs and is responsible for coordinating subject matter experts from across the department as well as third party SEP organizations (i.e. non-profits and local government) and regulated entities (i.e. private businesses, industry, public drinking water and wastewater systems, etc.). Responsibilities also include creating policies and guidance for adoption by the department, along with making project recommendations to the Director of Environmental Programs. In this role, this position researches, coordinates, negotiates, completes technical reviews and manages the SEP program for the department’s environmental divisions, enforcement staff and regulated entities.
Front Range Waste Diversion Enterprise Administrator (02428) – CDPHE, Denver, Colorado (Posted January 8, 2020)
This position exists to provide policy and program development guidance to the Front Range Waste Diversion (FRWD) Board of Directors (the board) as well as being the principal advisor to this entity. This position guides the board in strategic planning activities to ensure progress on the state’s waste diversion goals, presents on enterprise revenue, budget and expenditures in coordination with DEHS, the department’s solid waste program and division and department fiscal managers. This position may serve as a liaison between the Office of the Attorney General, the board and the division.In addition, to the role with the board, this position will oversee the administration of the FRWD grant program and supervise unit staff. Coordinates, monitors, schedules and prioritizes workloads and work completion, mentors and trains staff. Provides guidance to staff on day-to-day project management and board decisions.
